On average I might expect somebody to play this game 2-3 hours then quit out of having long finished the game, or getting bored of it. The big problem is there are few locations to explore compared to other games and it gets old relatively quickly. Even the dialogue trees are often repeated to the point. Only recomended for hardcore point and click fans.. A charming if rough around the edges point-and-click game.Graphics and characters models are fairly basic, but occasional splashes of color add to the appealing and unique art-style. While puzzles are fairly basic, they're also intuitive, so I never wasted time trying to find that one cryptic answer the developers expected. The main premise is executed fairly good, with the protagonist using the real-life equipment for hunting ghosts instead of some fantastical items.Overall, the game has a nice atmosphere, humor and fun enough gameplay. Made me interested in checking out the original game simply titled "The Lost Crown".6/10.. I was little put off by some negative comments that say how slow the game is etc., but when I play it, it reminds me of classic old point and click adventures. People saying it is slow or boring probablly don\u00b4t know how an actual point and click adventure looks like. Not many good like this is still made nowaydays, so I\u00b4m very happy with it. Maybe the puzzles are too hard on me, but it is very nice game.. I love this game. Jonathan boakes (I apologize if i have miss spelled your name) comes up with fascinating storys. I wish he would write some novels and graphic storys to be sold in the usa maybe something he could setup with image comics. Anyway th feeling, the aura the sounds just give someon the creeps in a good way. Loved the previous games dark fall, dark fall journal dark fall 2 and the lost crown. All great point and click adventures that give you so much to do that they don't feel like point and click games. Plus there is a lot of note taking you need to do and lots of mysterys to solve and overall great visual effects nd voice acting and sounds really capture the essence needed for such a game. If the makers had the budge to make such a game into big movie i would love to see what they would come up with.And i'd ask the movie people not to rush them allow them to take all the time in the world to make a quality show. That said does anyone know if jonathan boakes has writen any novels?. Despite the play time shown, I have finished this game in about 3 hours. This game is more lighthearted than the first, and it takes place in a much smaller world (the Harbour Cottage, The Bear, the Harbour Wall, and the areas in between). The game was fun to play and most of the characters are the same, but I would not recommend paying full price since this should be considered a DLC instead of a separate game. There are also no achievements and several questions were left unanswered. If you liked the first game, I would recommend playing this one, but buy it on sale.. Fans of Nigel, Lucy and Saxton in general will feel a warm familiarity with the place, whilst newcomers will get a nice introduction to the characters and history to this haunted town. Blackenrock is just around the corner too!. Not too fun. Too repetative and boring for me.. A good, yet short teaser for Jonathan's next game The Last Crown: Blackenrock, many of us have waited a very long time to be able to play Blackenrock since The Lost Crown came out. This is a perfect Halloween story with lots of references to the first game. It is very easy to get stuck and i found some items that seemed to have no point other than just being there. You will have to go back and forth a lot to check if you did the correct thing.On the DJ Voucher scene, the game can bug out. Simply press F5 and hit No, it should bring your mouse pointer back up and you can leave the scene. Enjoy and Happy Halloween! If you liked The Lost Crown, you will enjoy this short tale.
